Built on truth – Jon’s Story

Built on Truth: Jon’s Story

What does it look like to follow God’s leading when the destination isn’t completely clear?

For Jon Killoran, it meant moving from Alberta to Ontario to study at Heritage Theological Seminary. Leaving behind familiar surroundings, established relationships, and a clear path forward required courage and faith. Yet through that journey, Jon discovered the value of being grounded in God’s Word and surrounded by a community committed to biblical truth.

At Heritage, theological education is about more than academics. Students are challenged to deepen their understanding of Scripture, grow in spiritual maturity, and prepare for lives of faithful service. Jon’s experience reflects how God uses seasons of preparation to shape future ministry and leadership.

His story is a reminder that God’s call doesn’t always come with all the answers. Often, He simply asks us to take the next step in faith, trusting that He will provide what we need along the way.

Watch Jon’s story to hear how God led him across the country, strengthened his faith through theological education, and continues to guide his journey today.
